Three-Segment Assembled Cross-Current Cooling Tower Fill Packing
Product Overview
Three-Segment Assembled Cross-Current Cooling Tower Fill Packing
Product Overview
The Three-Segment Assembled Cross-Current Cooling Tower Fill Packing is designed to make cooling tower installation, replacement, and maintenance more convenient. Unlike traditional one-piece fill packs, this design consists of three separate sections, A, B, and C, which can be combined according to the required tower width.
The three sections can be bonded together with adhesive to form a complete fill pack. This flexible structure allows different combinations to meet various installation requirements. More importantly, if part of the fill becomes damaged or needs replacement, only the affected section may need to be removed and replaced, helping reduce maintenance work and material costs.
Product Specifications
This cross-current cooling tower fill features a 20 mm pitch and a 5-angle corrugation design. Each section has a defined width, while the length can be customized to suit different cooling tower dimensions.
- Section A: 600 mm width
- Section B: 300 mm or 600 mm width
- Section C: 600 mm width
- Pitch: 20 mm
- Corrugation angle: 5 angles
- Length: Customizable
- Assembly: Adhesive bonding
Flexible Assembly Options
The modular structure provides several assembly possibilities:
- A + C: Combined width of 1200 mm.
- A + B + C: Combined width of 1500 mm or 1800 mm, depending on the selected B section.
This arrangement makes it easier to adapt the fill packing to different cooling tower layouts. The separate sections are also more convenient to handle during transportation, installation, and future maintenance.
Applications and Maintenance Advantages
This assembled cross-current cooling tower fill is suitable for industrial cooling towers that require flexible fill dimensions and convenient replacement. It can be considered for cooling tower refurbishment, fill replacement, and new equipment manufacturing.
Its segmented construction offers practical benefits for maintenance teams. Instead of replacing an entire fill pack when only one area is damaged, the relevant section can be replaced individually, provided the remaining sections are still in good condition. This helps reduce unnecessary material waste, maintenance time, and replacement costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Cooling tower fill is a heat exchange media used inside cooling towers to improve air and water contact efficiency. Water spreads over fill sheets or fill blocks, forming a thin film while air passes through the structure, removing heat through evaporation. It is also known as cooling tower fill med
The most common materials are PVC cooling tower fill and polypropylene (PP) cooling tower fill. PVC fill media is widely used in HVAC cooling tower systems due to its cost efficiency, while PP fill media is preferred for high temperature or chemical resistant applications.
Film fill cooling tower systems use structured sheets to form continuous water films for higher efficiency. Splash fill cooling tower systems break water into droplets using fill blocks, making them more suitable for dirty or contaminated water conditions.
Selection depends on water quality, operating temperature, and system type. Clean water systems usually use film fill cooling tower designs, while industrial cooling tower fill with poor water quality often uses splash fill or anti fouling fill media. For outdoor systems, UV resistant cooling tower
